At R3Create, your story is a big part of who you are. Health is a complex interconnected network, and through the studies of neurobiology we know beliefs can also shape our outcome. The first step in any recovery is to identify your limiting beliefs and recode the neural pathways to support a new outcomes.
As you begin to recode limiting beliefs there is a mandatory realignment period. This is often the uncomfortable stage of growth. When building strength, in order to expand to a greater capacity you must learn to break through the uncomfortable "shake" This pattern in nature is seen in all aspects of physical, mental, and soulful expansion.
Acknowledging our intelligent design, humans were created in an image to create. Creativity becomes your gateway to holistic health and wellness. This step focuses on harnessing your innate creative potential to cultivate a balanced and fulfilling life. Becoming Child-like with the ability to create new outcomes through connection.

My Career Journey
My journey into nutrition and dietetics began as a fascination with understanding how the human body worked. I have an intense LOVE for metabolism and mechanisms. This area of science lead me into the world of pharmacy, which I quickly discovered did not align with my values. I watched loved ones struggle with health and felt empowered to go on the quest for accurate health information. Extensive research and an expensive degree later, I am now a registered dietitian who discovered evidence-based nutrition for the prevention and reversal of chronic diseases. After 5 years working in the sick care system I realized nutrition was not the key to health either. After experiencing my own personal "rock bottom" where a series of traumatic events froze my nervous system. I realized no matter how much I replete with nutrition I had to heal my nervous system first before I could be healthy again, I began to realize everything in life connects. I could finally empathize with my patients who felt hopeless. It became apparent how many people need deeper healing. I finally found my purpose! I began developing tools and skills for myself with hopes to one day share them with other depleted women.
My Mission
To help women transform from feeling depleted to EMPOWERED!

First of all, thank you for visiting my site, and welcome. I am Sarah Millard, a soulful journeyer filled with broken pieces, terrible choices and ugly truths with a comeback allowing peace in my soul and a grace that saves. I am a wife, mother of 3, and a Registered Dietitian in Loma Linda California, which happens to be the only blue zone in the United States. Living in a blue zone has sparked my interest in longevity (living longer, healthier). I worked as a clinical acute care Dietitian at a local hospital where I passionately cared for my patients for 5 years. I currently work as an outpatient dietitian as I grow and build my resilient women's programs.
My quest into nutrition was personal. I watched too many loved ones get bad information and their health suffered. My motivation is definitely not money driven. When I realized my values no longer aligned with my career I left a lucrative industry for an expensive degree and loans to pay. I genuinely just want to help people discover truth and well being.
The fact of the matter is evidence is constantly evolving, and unfortunately an even bigger problem emerges when people stop trusting their own intuition.
It is important to be evidence-based but not evidence-limited. Anyone who will tell you they have it 100% figured out is not a true scientist, I will continue to think and then rethink as new information becomes available. There are no failures in life, only data points. Darkness does not exist once light is present. I include evidence as well as practical knowledge gained from years of experience working closely with a variety of people.
Be Real Nutrition speaks to me because not only do I believe in eating REAL (Whole foods), but as a busy mom of 3 and a humbled human I know how difficulty incorporating good nutrition and healthy habits can be. We are all on our own unique journey in life and there is no one size fits all solution for people but with the right tools, skills and a connection framework anyone can cultivate a health mindset. My goal is to provide tools and skills to empower you! Thank you for visiting my site, I am excited to go on this health journey with you.
Sarah Millard MS, RDN
B.S. in Business but we all know the real learning does not come from the degree. It comes from experience. I began my career with a corporate internship with Walgreens I learned the financial, marketing, merchandising and sales strategies for corporate companies. I then took a job working for a venture capitalist. That is where I learned the real "street smarts" for business. I learned how to identify an opportunity, restructure a business, fix inefficiencies, as well as many other life skills. I then went on to start a restaurant, catering and school food service business. Once it was up and running I went back to nutrition school.
In Marketing we learn you need to sell a feeling. My first job marketing was promoting alcohol sales. I was a cute petite college girl selling a feeling of power to men in bars. I then transitioned to the food industry and began to see the same concept of selling a feeling, except it was a lie. Cookies don't make you happy and alcohol does not make you more fun. The money was good but the problem was I began to see the lies the drug, alcohol and food industries were selling and my own personal values did not align.
As a clinical dietitian at an acute care hospital I have experience with many medical conditions including but not limited to Renal, Cancer, Diabetes, GI issues, Autoimmune diseases, etc. Understanding traditional medical treatments and progression of disease is important when applying the principles of preventative lifestyle medicine to prevent and potentially reverse diseases.
After going through my own "nervous breakdown" -this word held new meaning to me as I realized there are actual nutrient deficiencies and physical limitations when you are operating in a depleted state. I began to dabble in functional medicine as I experimented with hair tissue analysis tests, organic acids tests, other GI stool testings. The identified deficiencies or imbalances often lead to supplementation or other overly controlling interventions that did not feel sustainable. It still did not seem like the answer. I stumbled across poly-vagal theory and all the dots connected. I realized these imbalances existed in the first place because people are living out of harmony with their neurobiology. I began designing the evidence based approaches to realign and cultivate lasting health.
