Recognizing the limitations of our traditional healthcare model when it comes to supporting long-term well-being, I made the choice to step away from several promising career paths and pursue a life more aligned with my values. Working as a Registered Dietitian at a leading hospital gave me invaluable experience and insight. It also revealed a critical truth: while traditional medicine plays an essential role in managing acute conditions and providing life-saving care once disease has progressed, it often falls short in preventing illness before it reaches that point. I witnessed too many patients searching for answers to their symptoms, only to receive care once they were already in crisis.
